Spring Poker Week
Came to Gothenburg yesterday evening. Cicci picked me up at the airport and then we went out to have dinner. Very nice one. Three courses and a lot of wine and champagne. Instead of going out we went home and had some mojito’s and watched Gossip Girl. After the first episode we changed our minds and started to play poker instead. Funny to play on the projector. VERY BIG and almost hard to concentrate when the windows are like one meter wide. Went to bed like five and up at 11:30 when she woke me up after making me a great breakfast. Went out to do some shopping before the tournament that started at four.
The tournament started off very bad. After level one both Cicci and Peter were out. I had half start stack (started with 10k). On level two I was still cold and on level three I decided to not do anything if I didn’t find a very good hand and then try to get it all in. That didn’t happen so when going to dinner the strategy was to change my game to level four with blinds 100-200 and 25 in ante. So I did. First I went down to 3k and then up to 8k without seeing a flop. This gave me a loose image and then I found aces UTG. I got re-raised and pushed. The poor guy had to call me even if he knew he was behind with his nines. With 16k I had average and that was the first time I was above start stack since the beginning.
With 16k I was chip 2nd on my table (yeah, we had a lot of short stacks). The chipleader had 18k. I called a raise from him with 55 in big blind. I checked in the dark and the flop came J95. He bet 1500 and I re-raised to 3500. He thought for a while and pushed. I called and the guy showed AJ.
On level five I was once again card dead and with quite high blinds I tried to steal a few times but always got re-raised and had to fold. This took me down to 16k again. Then I found JJ UT. I hate this hand and I didn’t want to raise with it so I just limped, hoped for someone to raise and then I planned to re-raise all-in or maybe call (depending on who the re-raiser was). The guy to seats to the left raises and everyone folds. I push and he thinks for a long time before he calls with AK. My jacks held up and the hand after it was time to brake the table.
On my new table I had a lot of familiar names (some of them from EPT and some big names that plays a lot in Sweden). First hand I found AQ UTG. Raised and everyone folded. On BB hand after I had AK when middle position raised to 2400. I knew from the way his stack looked that he raised a lot (a lot of small chips) so I decided to re-raise him. Didn’t wanna see a flop against the guy. He folded. A few hands after this I found TT in middle position. I raised to 3500 on 600-1200 blinds and got called from button and BB. Flop T43, BB checks. I bet 6,6k, I wanted it to look like a continue bet. Button now moves all-in and BB thinks for like a minute before he folds. I call and the guy shows AK. He had 27k which was around average at this moment. Thie left me with over 60k in the stack. I didn’t play much the last half an hour, a few steals and re-steals but I mostly folded with two guys on my left shortstacked and I didn’t want to take a risk.
Very tired now. It’s almost five in the morning. Cicci and Peter stayed up an waited for me when I got home but now the both of them sleep. Will try to get at least six hours of sleep before tomorrows game.

Off to bed. Wish me luck tomorrow.
